Preventing Back-ups

It is equally important to know how to help prevent back­ups from occurring. Here are some simple tips:

  • Never use your toilet to dispose of items that can clog your house connection line. The most common causes of toilet and sewer line backups are stuck disposable diapers, sanitary napkins, and paper towels.

  • Watch your toddlers! Young children love to watch toys disappear in the toilet bowl. It may be great fun for them, but it won't be a laughing matter when the plumber's bill arrives.
