WEST HARTFORD – The West Hartford Fire Department will conduct its annual  training exercise at the MDC’s West Hartford Reservoir on Farmington Avenue during the week of August 11.

The exercise will involve pumping water from the east end of Reservoir 1 (the reservoir closest to Farmington Avenue). The water will be sprayed back into the reservoir, which is not an active drinking water supply.

A non-profit municipal corporation chartered by the Connecticut General Assembly in 1929, the MDC supplies water and sewer services to its eight member municipalities:  Bloomfield, East Hartford, Hartford, Newington, Rocky Hill, West Hartford, Wethersfield and Windsor.  The MDC also supplies treated water to portions of Glastonbury, East Granby, South Windsor, Farmington and Portland.
