HARTFORD – From July 11 through August 31, traffic on Clarendon Street will be one way northbound from Douglas Street to Preston Street.

The traffic restriction is due to construction in Maple Avenue and Preston Street as part of the Metropolitan District Commission’s (MDC) $80 million Connecticut River Cleanup Program. Paganelli Construction Corp., a contractor to the MDC, will install a temporary filtration tank in Clarendon Street, which will filter ground water pumped from the excavations.

Signs will be placed on Clarendon Street to direct the flow of traffic. The MDC regrets any inconvenience this restriction causes.
