LAKE MCDONOUGH VISITORS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ENTER FROM NORTH SIDE TO AVOID CONSTRUCTION AREA

BARKHAMSTED – Due to road work on state Route 219 along the east side of the Metropolitan District Commission’s (MDC’s) Lake McDonough, visitors are encouraged to enter from the north, at the Route 219-Route 318 intersection.

During construction, public access will be maintained for public use, however motorists can expect delays. Therefore, visitors heading to Lake McDonough from the south are advised to use Route 44, to Route 181 to Route 318 east, which passes over the Saville Dam.

After July 4, Route 219 will be closed from the MDC’s entrance gate south to Ratlum Road.
