WEST HARTFORD – Beginning Wednesday, May 16, a portion of the walking path on the dike at the Metropolitan District’s Reservoir 6 Water Treatment Facility, off Albany Avenue, will be closed due to construction.

The closure is expected to be in effect through July while a large construction crane removes the intake screens and replaces them with new ones.

Signs have been posted to notify visitors of the restrictions. Drivers, pedestrians, bicyclists and other users of the property are asked to exercise caution. The public’s cooperation is greatly appreciated.
