Hydrant Flushing Schedule for  West Hartford
April 28 through May 23, 2008

West Hartford #1 - area bordered east by South Main Street, south by New Britain Avenue, west by Farmington town line and north by Farmington Avenue.  (Farmington Avenue, South Main Street, Tunxis Road and Berkshire Road)

West Hartford #2 - area bordered east by Oakwood Avenue, south by New Britain Avenue, west by South Main Street and north by Boulevard.  (South Main Street, Overbrook Road, South Quaker Lane, Trout Brook Drive and Oakwood Avenue)

The purpose of the annual flushing program is two-fold: to make sure that hydrants are in good working order for fire protection, and to flush and cleanse the local water distribution system. During the flushing operations, MDC customers in the area may experience cloudy or discolored water. The condition is temporary and does not pose a health hazard.
