Hydrant Flushing Schedule for  West Hartford
May 19 through June 20, 2008

West Hartford #3 - area bordered east by Prospect Avenue, south by Boulevard, west by North Main Street and north by Fern Street (Raymond Road, Boulevard, Maplewood Avenue, Farmington Avenue and Prospect Street)

West Hartford #4 - area bordered by Farmington Avenue north to Albany Avenue to North Main Street to Simsbury Road and Bloomfield Avenue to Bloomfield town line

The purpose of the annual flushing program is two-fold: to make sure that hydrants are in good working order for fire protection, and to flush and cleanse the local water distribution system. During the flushing operations, MDC customers in the area may experience cloudy or discolored water. The condition is temporary and does not pose a health hazard.
