CONNECTICUT RIVER CLEANUP PROGRAM

reduced combined sewer overflows have improved the water quality of the Connecticut RiverThe Connecticut River Cleanup Program included various projects to help reduce combined sewer overflows.  Phase I of the Connecticut River Cleanup Program was presented to the voters in 1990 in form of an $80 million bond referendum.  The following CSO abatement projects were funded by this referendum:
 

Other projects that were also funded by this referendum include upgrade and expansions to our Rocky Hill and East Hartford Water Pollution Control Facilities.
