In its ongoing effort to foster an increasingly diverse pool of contractors and sub-contractors that perform work on MDC projects, including the expansive Clean Water Project, the MDC is seeking public input to further develop its Small and Local Business Enterprise (SLBE) program. The program is intended to foster growth and build the capacity of local small businesses through various initiatives while increasing the potential for these businesses to perform work on MDC projects. Members of the diversity sub-committee have worked diligently to review and analyze the findings reported in the disparity study and have developed a course of action that ultimately will assist the committee accomplish its mission. To this end, the entire MDC asks that you join us so that together “we” can work to increase opportunities for businesses in our communities. |
