From the North: Take I-91 South to Exit 40
(Route 20 West). Take the Granby Exit (Route 20). Proceed through Granby to West
Granby. Take a left onto Route 219 South towards Barkhamsted (approximately one
mile past West Granby Center). Proceed on Route 219 south into Barkhamsted to
the intersection of Route 318.


To reach Barkhamsted Headquarters bear right onto Route 318 West. Cross
over Saville Dam and take the first right, which is Beach Rock Road. Barkhamsted
Headquarters will be on your left.


To reach Lake McDonough proceed south on Route 219 (do not turn onto
route 318) for approximately ¼ mile. Then entrance to Lake McDonough will be on
your right.


To reach the Braille Trail bear right onto Route 318 West. Cross over the
Saville Dam and take a left at the stop sign. Take your first left in
approximately 200 yards onto Goose Green Road. The entrance to the goose Green
Recreation center will be on your left in approximately 200 feet.




From the South: Take I-91 North to I-84 West,
and then follow the directions below.


From the West and East: Take I-84 to Exit 39
(Route 4). Proceed west on Route 4 for 5.9 miles into Unionville. Continue on
Route 4 for an additional 2.6 miles until you reach an intersection in which you
will continue straight onto Route 179 (do not turn left onto Route 4). Continue
straight on Route 179 for 1.9 miles into Collinsville. Proceed on Route 179
through Collinsville to Route 44 (also known as Albany Turnpike). Turn left onto
Route 44 West and follow into New Hartford. Follow to the first traffic light in
New Hartford Center (intersection of Routes 219 and 44).


To reach Lake McDonough take a right onto Route 219 North. The entrance
to Lake McDonough will be on your left after traveling just over 3 miles on
Route 219 North.       


To reach Barkhamsted Headquarters take a right onto Route 219 North along
Lake McDonough to Route 318 (you will bear left onto Route 318 West). Cross over
Saville Dam and take the first right, which is Beach Rock Road. Barkhamsted
Headquarters will be on your left.


To reach the Braille Trail take a right onto Route 219 North along lake
McDonough to Route 318 (you will bear left onto Route 318 West). Cross over the
Saville Dam and take a left at the stop sign. Take your first left in
approximately 200 yards onto Goose Green Road. The entrance to the Goose Green
Recreation Center will be on your left in approximately 200 feet.



From Waterbury and Points West of Waterbury:
Take I-84 East to Route 8 North to Winsted. In Winsted you will come to the
intersection of Route 8 and Route 44 (there is a traffic light at this corner).
Take a left at this traffic light onto Route 44 East. Proceed to Route 318 East
and Route 181 North (Route 318 and Route 181 become one road).


To reach the Braille Trail continue on Route 318 East for approximately
½ mile after crossing over the Farmington River. Bear right onto Goose Green
Road. The entrance into the Goose Green Recreation Center is on your left in
approximately 200 feet.



To reach Barkhamsted Headquarters continue on Route 318 East and Route
181 North, staying on Route 181 North for approximately two miles until you see
the Barkhamsted Cemetery on your right. Turn right onto Beach Rock Road after
the Cemetery. Barkhamsted Headquarters will be on your right.


To reach Lake McDonough continue on Route 318 East to Route 219 and bear
right onto Route 219 South. The entrance to Lake McDonough will be on your right
in approximately ¼ mile.
